Manipulated Reality

This work explores the complex relationship between visual reality and its constant transformation within a rapidly evolving social and technological context. Beginning with an analysis of the visual landscape and the tension between objectivity and subjectivity, it investigates how new technologies, particularly social media and augmented reality, influence the perception and narration of reality, often blurring the boundaries between the real and the virtual. Through the use of photography as a means of expression, the project aims to represent the layering and overlapping of experiences, emotions, and narratives that characterise contemporary life, offering the viewer a synoptic and multifaceted vision of modern existence. The goal is to stimulate critical reflection on the loss of awareness of the real and the progressive replacement of nature by artificial intelligences, encouraging questions about the current meaning of reality and identity in the digital age.
