THE SOCIETY OF COMMUNICATION WITHOUT LIMITS”.
Contemporary society, marked by digitalization and unlimited communication, has radically transformed cultural and relational processes. The internet has become the main space for information and social interaction, where virtual communities operate under the control of algorithms and multinational corporations that shape behaviors and choices, creating the illusion of individual freedom.
In this context, images and photography take on a dominant role: immediate tools of emotional and symbolic communication, capable of replacing verbal language. However, the overproduction of images risks emptying them of meaning, reducing them to mere signs within the information society.
Vito Sforza’s photographic work seeks to restore depth and awareness to this language, offering viewers a critical reflection on the relationship between reality and representation. His images, free from linear narrative structure, become fragments of individual and collective memory, capable of evoking emotions, recovering lost meanings, and returning to photography its testimonial and interpretative power.
